Who Can You Trust to Repair Your Collision Damaged Vehicle?
When the time comes, as it does to most of us, to have a collision damaged car or truck repaired, who should you trust? Sadly, the answer for many is simply to take their vehicle to the Rochester body shop recommended by the insurance company. That may not be your wisest course of action. Here's why.

The insurance company and their representatives have one primary concern - cost. When they recommend a Rochester collision repair facility, they aren't necessarily taking into account your benefit and the quality of the repair. You can't rely on them to safeguard your interests, other than to write the check when the time comes.

The one person you can and should rely on to make the wisest decision about which collision shop to choose is you. Since you have the right to have the repairs performed by the facility of your choice, it definitely pays to give some consideration to which Rochester body shop you take your car or truck to.

It's not always easy knowing who to trust. Thankfully, there are a few guidelines you can use to shed some light on what can otherwise be a murky process, and make your decision a little less confusing.

First, consider carefully if your repair facility has the experience and know-how to do the job right the first time. Most people never really think about it, but when it comes to producing high-quality work, luxury car dealers have a decided advantage over other repair facilities. Why? Simply because they are accustomed to working with and for the most demanding, discriminating customers on vehicles where small variances in the quality of the workmanship can make a tremendous difference. To put it in it's simplest terms, luxury dealers are used to going to great lengths to please those customers that are hardest to please. That means your vehicle will get the first-class attention it deserves.

A second consideration, also related to experience, has to do with the kinds of vehicles the body shop normally works on. Again, this is where a luxury dealer will shine, because they typically work on higher end vehicles. It also pays to take your GM vehicle to a GM dealer, because the process of ordering parts and materials will be more seamless, and therefore less time-consuming. That translates into a quicker turn-around time for you and your vehicle.

Another factor is the facility's relationship with the major insurance companies. A quality collision facility will know - and be known by - all the major insurers and their local reps. Why is that important? Because it can mean the difference between a long, drawn out funding process, and one that proceeds smooth as silk. Needless to say, you want a shop that can ensure the process moves along quickly and without needless delays.

Finally, consider the body shop's reputation. It almost goes without saying that a shop that's only been open a short time is less desirable than a well established facility. A service and repair facility with several years, or even decades, of quality service under their belts translates into peace-of-mind for you.

May we respectfully suggest that Valley Cadillac meets or exceeds all of these guidelines, providing quality repairs on ALL makes and models - not just Cadillacs and HUMMERs - for over seventy years! You may not drive a Cadillac or HUMMER yet, but that doesn't mean your car or truck shouldn't be treated and repaired like one.
